Traction
The Mercurial Vapor VI Cleat has firm-ground molded cleats (FG) and features Vapor Traction, a multidirectional cleat pattern designed for instant acceleration and quick cuts in any direction. To lock down the planted foot while the other controls the ball, molded heel cleats provide durable traction, support and outstanding surface penetration. Grip zones in the forefoot were inspired by racing spikes and allow for quick bursts of speed.
Design
For ultra-lightweight support and comfort, the Vapor VI features soft, supple and ultra-thin Teijin synthetic leather that conforms to the foot. An anatomically correct design mirrors the shape of the foot for an enhanced, snug fit. Also contributing to this boot’s light weight is the full-length, glass-fiber plate, which reduces weight while maximizing strength. The plate also helps transfer foot-planting energy directly to the cleats, reducing cleat pressure and providing instant support and stability. A contoured sockliner reduces cleat pressure even more and offers low-profile cushioning and support.
